Where it runs

Why it is used
The smallest of the standard square units, kept for layouts where even a 250-pixel square will not fit — narrow sidebars, dense directory listings, and in-feed slots on constrained templates. It is one of the original IAB universal package sizes, which is why ad servers continue to list it.
What to watch for
Thin demand and limited creative room — at this size there is very little space for a message beyond a logo and a few words. Expect low fill if it is the only size accepted.
File weight for standard display is commonly specified at around 150 KB initial load, but publisher specs vary and the figure that governs is always the one written into the insertion order. Check it before trafficking rather than after a creative is rejected.
